Picture Prompt/Horror story
The students are beginning a picture prompt assignment in preparation for the HSPA test which is administered in the junior year. The students received pictures that they must use to create a story. Since we are still working on the horror genre, I required implementation of the elements of gothic horror we covered in class. The students will spend 1 period writing the story and several days revising.
During this time students will also continue reading short stories and responding to questions.
